Pianist for over 25 years, Kim graduated from Saint-Laurent College in classical piano interpretation and from Université de Montréal in music composition. Her private composition courses with Mathieu Lavoie (founder of Beenox and Vibe Avenue) and her participation to many formation workshops offered by CQM and SPACQ give her the opportunity to develop great skills and sign the music of many projects.
She’s currently working as a full-time video game composer at Gameloft where she composed for titles such as Pastry Paradise, Rival Knights, Gangstar Vegas, Country Friends, CSI: Slots, Puzzle Pets and more to come. She also worked on several indie projects in the past years. She worked with Illogika on the game Subaeria and with Clever-Plays as a sound designer on Leap of Fate. She also worked with Parabole on Gridlock Tactics, Atoz Studios on Word Game in a Cup, Pixel Crucible on MacGuffin Quest (funded by Execution Labs studio in Montréal) and with Phil Hassey, a developer from Colorado creating Galcon 2.
She participated to game jams such as the Indie Speed Run 2013 and 2012, the Mount Royal Game Society game jams and the Global Game Jam 2014 in Montréal where her team won the jury’s choice with Saloon Party. She is also a participant at ISTDS (sound design institution) where she supervises students aspiring to enter the video game industry. Kim was also pianist on the pop/jazz scene and she teached piano at Vimont Musique School for over 5 years.
